T'is The Season

T'is the season. It's finally here! Come join me on a small house tour.
Hi Friends,

I know I've been away from the blogland for a bit but life has been busy. I will be honest with you and tell you that the last eleven years or so have not been so merry for a few reason. Mostly due to poor health on mine and my husbands part, money and getting into a bit of a depressive rut when the holidays came around.

But this year I seem to be almost bursting! at the seams about Christmas. No, nothing has changed much. We both are still in poor health, there is no money for Christmas gifts but, this year, it seems not to matter. I am giving complete and total credit for the love I feel in my heart deep in my heart despite all of this to the Lord Jesus Himself. Every day I tell Him how much I love Him. I ask for His forgiveness for not always showing it like I should and I also ask Him to increase my love for Him. Well I can now tell you, prayer answered!  I thought I would share some of what I did to decorate this year.

Our tree has seen better days but it's good enough. Our outdoor manger may be cheesy to some and well, it is but I like the cheesy old days outdoor light displays. Reminds me of my childhood. Hope you enjoy the photos.

This is a little wall that separates my kitchen and dining room from my den.

This is my fireplace mantle. (didn't realize one of my stockings fell down. Oops!)

This is a bakers rack I have in my dining room.

This is a small entry way table I have in my living room.

In the next day or so I will be posting photos of some of the Christmas decor I have and the history behind them. I hope you enjoyed all the photos!

  1. Your decorations are lovely. Your Christmas tree is beautiful! My little tree is old too, but it still looks beautiful. Can't wait to see photos of the rest of your decorations. Have a wonderful evening, hugs, Edna B.

    1. Hi Debbie! My mom made that Church many years ago. It has a base that goes with it, with a light in it but it's so old I didn't want to take a chance with it this year so I put the base away and just put the Church on the Mantle.. I hope everyone and everything is well with you!
