Putzing Around

Isn't that a beautiful sunflower? Sunflowers are my most favorite kind of flower. This one is a photo of one of them in a fall flower arrangement I made for my dining room table...

Yesterday (Thursday) I pretty much just putzed around the house doing some things I needed to catch up on like.. Washing clothes and putting them away. Cleaning out the refrigerator. Printing out some things for my sister in law and mailing it to her and printing some recipies.

Most of the morning I was on my feet which were not happy about that, baking dog cookies.

I don't like to buy them the ones from the store because there's just too much junk in them. Their very favorite treats are from a brand called "Nudges" but those are expensive! $21 dollars and change for the big bag and with five dogs a small bag won't do. So I decided those will be bought only for a different treat here and there and I will go back to making them the home made treats which they like just as well and I know what they are getting.

As for today, Alvin (one of my Chi mixes) decided it was a good idea to step on my stomach at about five thirty this morning so I was up and I was tired because I went to bed late. I have become addicted to this game called Bingo Blitz and I knew I should have turned the lights off at eleven last night but there I was at eleven forty still playing......yeah....

As for today, I have done my bible study already this morning and I know I should probably start working on a closet to clean out since the weather has decided it's summer again (too hot to be outside) but my brain and body are definitely not in agreement this morning so we shall see.

I pray you all have a good day full of Gods peace and love..

  1. Sunflowers are such a happy color. What lucky doggies you have! I would bake cookies too for my little guy but he has no teeth and no lower jaw so he would have a terrible time trying to eat them. You have a great day, hugs, Edna B.

  3. I love sunflowers, too, especially in the Fall. My dogs love Nudges too but the big bag lasts us a long time since I only have two dogs and they are small. I'm putzing around myself today. Went to pick up medicine that I wasn't out of yet but was on auto refill at Walgreens. Waiting in line just to find out they can't honor my new insurance so I will have to check with CVS in Carolina Forest which is closer anyway. Now I'm working on my painting my Fall Door decorations to sell. I try to new 5 different designs and am working on the fourth right now. Yes it is warm again but a little rainy so perfect day to work on indoor projects. Take care!

  6. You have very blessed doggies. I tried making a dog biscuit year ago...Molly said no thank you. Actually she was not much on treats. Good for me. There was one little one I got at the vet that she would eat. Sunflowers make me smile. Sunshine with a stem and leaves.

  7. I made dog treats before for a friends doggy birthday party. They were fun to make and I even have a cookie cutter shaped like a bone.
The weather is crazy. We went from 90 degrees to 60 with in a couple weeks. It even hit low 50’s on day. It has stayed around 70 in the afternoons now.
I have cleaning and straightening to do myself. Have a great weekend.

    1. Hi Lisa,
Years ago my husband bought all dog cookie cutters, bones, dog houses, paw prints.. but I couldn't be bothered to use them this time. I was lazy.....LOL.. Our weather here has been nuts but it's that time of year. Heat in the morning AC in the afternoon and night. I can't wait and my body can't wait until the weather finally levels off.. I hope you're having a good week!
