I'm Frustrated

Hello friends and family !

Let me tell you why I'm frustrated.. Maybe some of you bloggers can understand...

Life!.. Life frustrates me.. (laughs)...All kidding aside, I am frustrated with my blog. Why? Because I miss it. I miss writing. I have been trying to space my posts out to maybe three a week so that I don't inundate you with a post every day but it's not working out very well . It isn't working for me because I get so busy with my life and work around my home, my husband, extended family, my dogs, friends, doctor appointments, errands that need to be run etc. etc. that by the time I can sit down and write a post for that day I am exhausted.

You know, I've had my blog for many years and the reason I keep it is because I love to write. I always have. And I know, people will say, "you have to make the time"... and they are correct except I would need 28 hours a day instead of 24 and I don't think that's going to happen any time soon.

So my plan moving forward is, when I get into a real good creative mood I'm going to just write posts and keep writing and use the scheduler to post. So from here on out you may be seeing a post from me every day..

For you fellow bloggers out there, how do you find the time to blog? When do you blog? Do you use the scheduler? How does this all work out for you?

I would really appreciate any advice you have to offer..

  1. Typically, I write in the mornings, when I sit down with my cup of coffee and start my day. Sometimes I'll write a bit, then I get started with work, so I'm busy for awhile. Then I get a little break and come back to it off and on over the next couple of hours and finish it up and then I post (usually daily). Sometimes I have posts I start for the next day, but I don't schedule it. I just leave it as a draft and then post it when I'm ready.

    1. Thanks for letting me know how you do things. My problem is if I were to walk away I lost all my train of thought and I won't get it back. I'm also finding it's easier for me to write at night when the house finally quiets down. Five dogs can make a lot of racket during the day. Thank you again :) XO

  2. Hi Robyn. I blog whenever I can. Sometimes I write and it stays in the archives. What works for you is what counts.

  4. I have done it different ways. Sometimes, I keep several posts in draft. Obviously, these are not blogs about daily doings. They are about how I do certain things. Then, I do a daily accounting of what is happening. Then, I just do a "this and that" post about different and unrelated things. So, there is no keeping my train of thought. There is nothing that says you must have the same type posts like some people do. Also, one blogger posts a list of very interesting links. She obviously keeps a post in draft and adds to it when she can. Maybe she posts it on a busy day or when she does not want to post for the next day or two.

  5. My blog has become my life's daily journal so I try and blog everyday - mostly in the mornings. Sometimes I will get a idea, and will blog in the afternoon, and then schedule it either the next morning or sometimes I will post it that day. It's whatever.

I love to write as well. For me it's just part of my life. I will blog before I do anything else. lol

  6. I just blog whenever. If I ever find that I have more than one thing to write about and have the time, I will schedule it. This is rare lately because I just cant seem to find things to blog about. I used to try to have a post every 2 to 3 days but now Im just out of ideas. Sometimes I will look through my photos and find one to write about. That works pretty good. I take a lot of pictures. Summer time is easier for me to blog as I have more going on in my life. I also try not to blog negative things. If I did that, I could write a book! Hahaha.
I do not mind reading your post every day. They say the more you blog, the more people follow.

  7. For years I posted on my blog seven days a week. Lately I've had to cut back a day or two. I just write about my day or any issues I'm having at the moment. I share photos and giggles. It's my daily journal so I don't really need to find a specific topic to write about. I don't scrapbook. Instead I have my blog printed into hard cover books to leave behind for my family. Naturally I like to include a lot of family photos on my blog. I guess you just have to do yours whichever way works best for you. Enjoy your day, hugs, Edna B.
